Why does EnVue offer barnwood products made from reclaimed lumber? We believe that the best way to design a rustic-looking product is to create it from authentic material. We achieve this goal than by using the real thing. Our barnwood products look genuine because they are.
Reusing and recycling barn wood is also good for the environment. It's our commitment to environmental sustainability. Instead of the lumber ending up in a scrap heap, it is being reborn and reused in a variety of residential and commercial projects. What better way to be a steward of the environment and history than by reinventing yesterday's barns into today's reclaimed barnwood designs?
The authenticity of reclaimed barnwood, with its weathered texture, many shades, knots, nail holes, cross-cut saw marks, and rough-hewn axe marks, guarantees one-of-a-kind rustic designs.
All reclaimed barnwood products are built with lumber reused from dismantled barns, many over 100 years old, and some that are even 150 years old!
Exterior barnwood typically comes from tulip, poplar, or old-growth pine trees, while interior barnwood is usually oak - from corn cribs - or beech. Reclaimed barnwood flooring comes from a number of species, including white pine, yellow pine, elm, maple, oak and black walnut.
The uses of reclaimed barnwood are only limited by your imagination. EnVue offers reclaimed barnwood doors, mantels, shelving, flooring, and wall cladding. Specialty items can be custom-built, combining reclaimed lumber with our custom fabrication. Tell us what you want, and we can design it for you. Just fill out our Design Your Custom Item form.
